If nothing else, he may not reproach himself afterwards with having left anything untried

The National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China confirmed by a majority vote the constitutional amendment which in fact abolishes any presidential term limits, thus setting 习近平 (Xí Jìnpíng) up to rule for life. Two other constitutional amendments, consequential and complementary to the aforementioned one, were also approved through the same vote: the addition to the Constitution of a political theory called “习近平 (Xí Jìnpíng) Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, and the institution of political “supervisory commissions” for investigating party members and civil servants.
